Community Forum > Install FusionIO on Osnexus5

I am unable to install Ubuntu drivers as gcc and other dependencies cannot be installed.
Has OSnexus stance changed on drivers? Can we install drivers on our own?

Thank You

Hello Nitin,

We are happy to help assist you with the driver build if you have a link to the latest drivers. If you would like to do the build yourself, please clarify any errors you see.

Thank you for being part of the OSNEXUS community!

Kind Regards,
Joshua Blake

Btw, we added a couple of commands to make it easier to install GCC and make changes.

qs-util aptnopin : Disables apt package pinning, for dev/qa purposes only.
qs-util aptpin : Re-enables apt package pinning, for dev/qa purposes only.

You'll need to be logged in as root, so you'll login as qadmin and then you can un-pin and then re-pin our standard apt preferences.

sudo -i
qs-util aptnopin
apt-get update
apt-get install gcc build-essentials
qs-util aptpin
